Living an intential life

I ask others to consider healing and working on themselves…do I walk the talk?

I’m happy to share what I changed and added to my daily routine.

I used to rush through my morning and have my coffee (my favorite treat of the day) so decided to take the time to enjoy it.  I now have my coffee sitting on the couch first thing in the morning.

When I started out meditating, I was doing it after working all day, after exercising and I noticed that I was trying to meditate while hungry, desperate for dinner…can you imagine how well I was doing at meditation and focusing on clearing my mind?

So I made a decision after asking myself what was important to me, I decided to get up even earlier.

Now I set my alarm for 5 AM and I spend the first 30 minutes of the day sipping on my coffee and meditating/journaling.

This is a much better start to my day.  I am relaxed and not rushing.  I am centered and I’m not trying to fit meditation in at the end of a hectic day.

Another change to my AM routine, I use this time to listen to music or podcasts that put me in a certain mood or space.  What am I craving?

What else?

I eat intuitively and have for the last 2+ years…no not 100% sometimes I eat with my eyes.

I usually have an altar in the middle of my kitchen with a reminder of what I am working on currently.

I ALWAYS have a book on my coffee table that I’m working on.  Reading is something I love to do inside or outside, and I prefer reading to watching a video on a subject of interest.

Lighting and Ambiance…I have tons of tea lights throughout the house on a timer that being in the magic of the evening.  This makes me feel cozy and special.

Lastly, I take more baths than I ever did.  A few moments of quiet with a special oil or fragrance allow me to settle in or settle down.

Summary of what I added into my regular routine

1x month, 1x a quarter> healing session or reading that usually inspires me

Every day: journal meditate read clear energy coffee ambience with tealights/candles and an altar…often with a book

Every week: deep dive into what does my body needs…usually includes a session for myself
